Insurance contacts

Start with your policy.
Go straight to your insurer.

Find the exact company named on your policy, then use its official contact route for a new or existing claim.

Keep the conversation organized.

Have your policy information, contact details, photos, notes, and questions available. Ask your insurer what it needs, how to submit securely, and how to track your conversation.

Need to find your insurance regulator?

Use the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ directory to find the relevant insurance department and its consumer resources.

Prepare a conversation record

Use the company name and contact information on your policy or its verified official website. Have your policy details available for the insurer, but do not place them in public comments or a public directory profile.

For each conversation, record the date, representative, reference number if supplied, requested documents and next step. Ask where to submit records securely and which deadlines apply to your situation. The NDI checklist does not replace your insurer’s forms or instructions.

Questions worth writing down

What information do you need from me now? Which documents should I keep? Who is my point of contact? How can I confirm a document was received? What is the next step and when should I follow up?

Ask your insurer to explain policy-specific requirements directly. For a complaint or regulatory question, use the relevant state insurance department. NDI organizes information; it does not determine eligibility, coverage, claim value or legal rights.
